Right Choice is set up by Which?, publisher of the 50 year old, well respected magazine brand Which? besides a range of other titles that cover holidays, cars, finance, etc. Which? is also consumer organisation, campaigning for the rights of consumers and fighting for their causes.
Right Choice, the Indian magazine is bringing to the Indian market a full fledged consumer offering that is independent and rigorous. As the Indian market develops and grows and the consumer has an ever increasing variety of goods and services, we believe we can help you navigate the complex set of choices with advice that is authoritative and independent.
Independence is central to our consumer promise as we accept no advertising and carrier no commercial content from providers of goods and services either directly or indirectly.
Our HeritageRight Choice is set up by Which?, a 54 year-old organisation based in Britain. It is one of the most respected consumer organisations in the world and publisher of the flagship title Which?.
London, 1957
Which? was started in a disused garage in east London to offer people independent advice and comparative testing of the new consumer goods that were starting to appear in shops. There was little such advice around at the time. Many thought publishing such advice (and especially naming products) would be impossible because it would be unpopular with manufacturers.
Success comes quickly
As soon as Which? was launched, ten thousand members signed up in the very first month. In 1958 Which? introduced the Best Buy label to guide consumers. It was an instant success and is today an iconic label seen in stores all over. Within 10 years the magazine had 5 lakh subscribers.
Expanding the good work
Today millions of subscribers in the UK and other parts of the world benefit from its independent advice. Which? now publishes over 10 magazines covering Cars, Computing, Holidays, Finance and Buyer’s Guides and Which.com a successful online platform. It is not surprise that Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of Britain says ‘The impact of your work has been profound. Your campaigns and magazines have transformed the way we live, improving products and services in the public and private sectors. I know that you will use this platform to achieve even more for consumers in the future.’
Right Choice in India
For the first time Which? has set up a magazine outside the UK. AtRight Choice we would like to bring to India the good work, Which? has been doing in the UK for over 5 decades.
